AIACT& R is functioning from its Campus located at Geeta Colony, East Delhi. The Institute has an area of 8.5 acres at Geeta Colony in Which The State-of-Art Campus of ultra modern facilities and lush green ambiance all around is build.

ranked among the top 5 out of 15 teams in SAVe 2015 students competition organized by National Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.

GRIDTECH 2015

5th International Exhibition & Conference on new technologies organised by Power Grid Corporation of Indian Limited. 35 teams were shortlisted out of 150 teams from all over the nation to participate in final round of this competition which held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

SAMUDRA abbreviated as SYSTEM OF AUTONOMOUS MARINE UNDERWATER DETECTION RESEARCH & ACTIVITIES is an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) developed by a team of undergraduate students from AIACTR (formerly Ambedkar Institute of Technology) to compete in the AUVSI. SAMUDRA is based on the principle low cost and high efficiency.

    2010-2011

    The Begining

    Students of AIACT& R are masterminds of this project. Ashish Kumar Jha and Kamlesh Kumar led to the foundation of the group whose motive was to develop cost effective AUV and to be the first non american team to win this AUVSI AUV competition.

    First AUV Challenge

    The Ocean Society of India, and IEEE Madras Chapter, the National Institute of Technology (NIOT), under Ministry of Earth Sciences, announced a competition for students pursuing engineering degree to visualize and design an autonomous underwater vehicle. The proposed design by team SAMUDRA was ranked among the top 5 out of 150 teams.

  • SAVe 2012

    NIOT decided to continue the efforts and SAVe—2012 announcement was made. The scrutinizing committee verified the Preliminary Design documents among 57 registrations and shortlisted 17 teams. The team Samudra reach to the final along with other 7 teams to demonstrate the working AUV model after an oral presentation on Critical Design Report.

  • SAVe 2014

    SAVe 2014 announcement was made in NIOT’s website and through leading National Newspapers. After submission of Preliminary Design documents by 14 teams Out of 27 registeration only five teams are allowed to demonstrate their AUV

    Indian Institute of Technology Madras is the winner of the competition.

  • SAVe 2015

    This year five teams who prepared their AUV and participated in final phase of competition by presenting their working model are Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, National Institute Of Technology Rourkela, SRM University chennai, Ambedkar Institute of Advanced communication Technologies & Research, Hindustan University chennai, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. SRM university Chennai is the winner of contest this time.

  • GRIDTECH

    POWERGRID with the support of Ministry of Power and in association with CBIP and IEEMA is bringing its 5th International Exhibition and Conference GRIDTECH 2015 from 8th to 10th April 2015 at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on new technologies in Transmission, Distribution etc. We bagged first prize over there by presenting a working modal of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle which was displayed in detection of faults in the underwater transmission links.

    Finalist

    Finalist for three consecutive years at National competition SAVe organized by National Institute of Ocean Technology. Although the proposed design by team SAMUDRA was ranked among the top 5 out of 150 teams and hopefully we are going to win the challenge this year.

    Former CM

    The team SAMUDRA was invited by Delhi Government to present their prototype and technology used thereafter praised by Former chief minister of Delhi Mrs Sheila Dixit during the presentation and demonstration of the project at Indian International Trade Fair 2013.

AUV SAMUDRA RECRUITMENT

Our team is made up of a group of multidisciplinary undergraduates . We design , build and test an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle each year with an aim to participate in AUVSI's Robosub competition in San Diego.our team has bagged the 5th International Exhibition and Conference- GRIDTECH 2015 which was organized by the POWERGRID with the support of Ministry of Power and in association with CBIP and IEEMA at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
